Department II for IT infrastructure maintenance and development

Tasks:

1. management, administration and maintenance of the ICT infrastructure in the Archive,
2. securing and ensuring the continuity of operation of IT systems and applications operating as part of the Archive’s ICT infrastructure,
3. ensuring the security of stored digital data, including in particular making, controlling and storing backup copies,
4. providing technical facilities for storing digital copies of archival materials produced in state archives digitization laboratories,
5. maintaining the continuity of operation of IT projects within the Central Digital Repository of the State Archives and the Backup Digital Repository of the State Archives,
6. ensuring the ICT security of the Archive’s digital resources, including in particular the coordination of the implementation of the Archive’s ICT Systems Security Policy,
7. administration of the local network of the Archive,
8. ongoing support for other organizational units of the Archive in the field of technical support as part of the ICT infrastructure,
9. providing consultations to other state archives in the field of ICT services, ICT security and hardware infrastructure,
10. cooperation with the IT systems design and development department and the Department of the securing of archival holdings in the field of construction, design and maintenance of IT systems created and administered by the Archive.
