Providing Access

The NDA’s collections are made available to any person interested therein.

The user does not have to:

  •  be an adult
  • pay any charge

In order to browse through NDA’s collections, you may use Audiovis application ( where materials are made available in digital form.

Audiovis database contains more than 210 thousand photographs and nearly 15 thousand descriptions of sound recordings and is regularly expanded with new digitalized materials. The access to the archive database is free of charge.

2 584 201 new users from more than 140 countries between 1 January 2009 and 27 April 2015.

In order to see the photographs or listen to sound and film recordings which have not been published online yet (in analogue form), please visit the competent NDA Client Service Office.

The photographs, recordings and films gathered by the NDA may be seen and listened to at many places. They are used for exhibitions, in books and studies, radio programmes and documentary films. NDA’s collections are used by among others:
