Mieszkańcy wsi Koryciska k. Płońska zebrali się przed telewizorem, aby obejrzeć transmisję obrad VII zjazdu PZPR, 1975. Lampowy telewizor Ametyst 1012 wymagał czasu na rozgrzanie się, stąd pewnie martwy ekran odbiornika (albo zdjęcie służy jedynie celom propagandowym, aby ukazać zainteresowanie ludu programem partii). W rzeczywistości transmisje obrad traktowane były jak dopust Boży, gdyż zastępowały emitowane w telewizji seriale, filmy i programy sportowe.
Residents of Koryciska village near Płońsk have gathered in front of a TV set to watch the broadcast of the session of the 7th Congress of the Polish United Workers’ Party, 1975. Ametyst 1012 valve TV set needed time to warm up – this is probably the reason why the screen of the TV set is empty. Or maybe the photograph was only used for the purposes of propaganda, in order to show people’s interest in the Party’s pro- gramme. In fact, broadcasts of the sessions were treated as a necessary evil, as they replaced TV series, films and sports programmes.
