Letnią imprezą plenerową były coroczne „Wianki na Wi- śle”, połączone z koncertami i pokazami sztucznych ogni. Sporą publiczność gromadziło też Święto Latawca, podczas którego wypuszczano latawce upamiętniające m.in. 35-lecie PRL czy Tysiąclecie Państwa Polskiego.
unsuccessful investment project, i.e. the construction of a ‘Bulgarian circus’ in Powiśle district, Warsaw circuses put up their tents at various squares in the whole city, for ex- ample at Wolska Street and Jerozolimskie Avenue. ‘Wianki’ at River Vistula, an annual outdoor event, were combined with concerts and fireworks displays. The Kite Holiday, during which kites commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Polish People’s Republic or the Millennium of the Polish State were flown, also attracted a great number of spectators.
