Ósmego sierpnia ukazał się rozkaz dowódcy Mazowieckiej Brygady Kawa- lerii płk. dypl. Jana Karcza oficjalnie żegnający 1 Pułk Strzelców Konnych. Dziesiątego sierpnia pułk wszedł w skład Warszawskiej Brygady Pancerno-Motorowej, a 12 sierpnia nastąpiło oficjalne pożegnanie 1 PSK przez dowództwo Mazowieckiej BK. W połowie sierpnia pułk zdał konie.

officially ordered the 1st Regiment of Mounted Fusiliers to be disbanded, the regiment becoming part of the Warsaw Armoured and Motorised Brigade on August 10th. August 12 marked the official disbanding of the 1st Regiment of Mounted Fusiliers by the command of the Mazovian Cavalry Brigade and in mid-August, the regiment handed over its horses.
