Pomniki upamiętniające działaczy ruchu komunistycznego i rewolucyjnego stawały w reprezentacyjnych punktach polskich miast, często przy ulicach i zakładach pracy, którym patronowali. Po przemianach ustrojowych zniszczono wiele monumentów, pozostałe zaś trafiły do muzeów, m.in. Parku Pomników przy Muzeum PRL w Rudzie Śląskiej. Warszawa, koniec lat 70.
Monuments commemorating the activists of the communist and revolutionary movement were raised in representative places of Polish towns and cities, often near streets and workplaces for which they provided patronage. System transfor- mations caused the destruction of numerous monuments, and the remaining ones were transferred to museums, e.g. the Park of Monuments at the Museum of the People’s Republic of Poland in Ruda Śląska. Warsaw, the end of the 1970’s.
