Hotel Marriott był wyjątkowo długo budowanym obiektem, podobnie jak słynny Błękitny Wieżowiec na pl. Dzierżyńskiego (obecnie pl. Bankowy) w Warszawie – budowa rozpoczęła się w 1977 r., obiekt pierwotnie miał być Centrum Obsługi Pasażerów PLL Lot „Air Terminal”. Prace ukończono dopiero w 1989 r., po zjednoczeniu inwestorów – PLL LOT, Ilbau GmbH i Marriott International – w spółkę LIM Joint Venture. Warszawa, zima 1979/1980.
Mariott Hotel was constructed exceptionally long, as was the famous ‘Blue Skyscraper’ at Dzierżyńskiego Square (currently Bankowy Square) in Warsaw – the construction started in 1977. Originally, the facility was supposed to house the ‘Air Terminal’ Customer Care Centre of PLL Lot Polish airlines. The works were completed only in 1989, after the establishment of LIM Joint Venture by the investors: PLL LOT, Ilbau GmbH and Mariott International. Warsaw, winter 1979/1980.
