Do kolejnej dekady przejdzie ogólna tendencja zmieniająca na za- wsze kobiecą modę – wygoda. Kobiety nie modelują już ciał gorsetami – walczą raczej o utrzymanie sportowej sylwetki. Polubiły dwu- częściowe kostiumy – spódnica z żakietem – ( ), popularne tailleurs szyte przez męskich krawców dbających o precyzyjny krój, noszą mniej- sze kapelusze i berety, przyzwyczajają się także do spodni. Mimo to w latach 30. powraca kobiecość w strojach i uczesaniach. Spódnice i sukienki wydłużają się, uwydatniając jednocześnie zmysłowe kształty ( , ). W latach 30. powraca podkreślanie kobiecej linii poprzez zmianę detali w kroju, deseniu tkanin i dodatków. Fasony zaznaczają talię, biust i biodra i odsłaniają ramiona przez pęknięcia w rękawach. Su- kienki wydłużają się, ale jednocześnie śmielej eksponują dekolt. Modne stają się wzorzyste tkaniny – najczęściej w motywy roślinne – a do wieczorowych toalet – złote lamy, gipiury i jedwabie. Kobiety często otulają roznegliżowane ramiona futrzanymi kołnierzami z lisa ( ). W codziennej modzie więcej jest teraz kobiecej zmysłowości, ale i dziewczęcego wdzięku.
Well into the next decade, a general trend appeared that would change female fashions for- ever – convenience. Women no longer had to model their bodies by means of corsets – rather they fought to maintain fitter figures, came to like two-piece suits – skirts with jackets ( ), popular tailleurs sewn by male tailors taking care of precise cutting, smaller hats and berets, and became accustomed to wearing trousers. Nevertheless, femininity came back into fashion in the thirties – in both costumes and hairstyles. Skirts and dresses were lengthened, at the same time emphasizing sensual shapes ( , ). The thirties saw a return to emphasizing the female shape by changes in the cut of clothes and their details, the patterns of fabrics and accessories. Styles came to emphasize the waist, bust and hips and revealed shoulders by means of cut-outs in sleeves. Dresses were lengthened, but at the same time cleavage was more boldly exposed. Patterned fabrics became the rage – usually plant motifs, mainly floral and for evening wear – gold lamé, lace and silk. Women often wrapped their bare shoulders in fox fur collars ( ). Everyday fashions now featured more feminine sensuality, but also girlishness.
