Codzienny rozkład dnia w stajni
Do rannego czyszczenia koni szeregowcy przychodzą do stajni w zimie o godzinie 6-ej, w lecie o 5-ej. Wach- mistrz melduje o tem dowódcy plutonu i dowódcy szwadronu.
The daily schedule in the stable
In winter, privates arrive at the stables to groom the horses at 6 o’clock, and in summer at 5 o’clock. The times set for grooming the horses can be changed according to the climate and schedule of tasks. The following are required to be present when the horses are being groomed: the battalion sergeant, platoon non-commissioned officers, the foreman, the farrier and the non-commissioned veterinary officer. These non-commissioned officers and those holding the position of platoon sergeant are exempt from personally grooming the horses, while all privates must personally groom the horses and clean the stables. Privates come to the stable, above all to provide feed for their horses. If they notice that their horse has not eaten its hay issued the evening before, or shows any abnormal signs, they must immediately report this to their platoon commander, who in turn reports to the sergeant. The horse should be immediately inspected carefully by the non-commissioned veterinary officer and sent by the sergeant for tests in the veterinary clinic. The sergeant reports this to the platoon commander and battalion commander. Where horses are placed in platoons, this is carried out by the platoon sergeant and he reports this to the platoon commander.
