NDA and „American dream”

National Museum in Kraków has made use of recordings from NDA on the exhibition called „American dream”. The exhibition is a part of „America, America...” project being organized in the 90th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and the U.S.

As organizers describe, the purpose of the exhibition is to present American culture elements that became the components of world-view of Polish people in 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Among materials the dominating ones are the works of American photorealists, not shown in Poland so far. The exhibition is accompanied by soundtracks, in which there have been used materials from NDA collection (among others, radio programmes made by Radio Free Europe and Polish Radio). They are supposed to unveil to visitors the complicated Polish – American relations during „Iron Curtain” era.

The exhibiton is opened to 4th October 2009 (Main Building of National Museum in Kraków).
