donated collections

• For the care of the preservation of Polish culture and national heritage, many institutions as well as individuals donate their collections to the National Digital Archives (NDA). The NDA gathers hard and electronic archive materials, with a particular focus on photography, sound recordings and audiovisual files.
   
• All the private and institutional transferred collections are automatically included into the national archival holdings and protected by law. The collections are under the authorised archive custody, permanently stored, and accessible to the public, unless there is a specific donor’s objection. The NDA actively promotes the donors as well as the materials ceded.
